What we do
A den meets once or twice a month to work on badges. The whole pack gathers monthly. And roughly once a month everyone goes somewhere — a trail, a campsite, a fire station, a cemetery with a lot of flags to plant.
Meetings & dens

Camping

Raingutter Regatta
Balsa wood, a sail, an electric fan, and a lot of design awards.
Service & the city
Scouting for Food, beach cleanups, veterans’ flags, and tours of the city that runs SF.
Every single year
The things you can count on
Each month your den leader will get in touch about the one or two den meetings — where they are and what to bring. They might be at a park, a leader’s house, or a library. Family members are always welcome, and parents stay for the whole thing.
- Summer hikes — Mori Point, Sibley, Angel Island
- Three pack campouts
- The Raingutter Regatta at the Sea Scout Base
- Scouting for Food, across two November Saturdays
- The Pinewood Derby and Bear Carnival
- A bonfire on Ocean Beach
- Trash the Trash — a beach cleanup
- The Blue & Gold Dinner at the Elks Lodge
- A crossing-over ceremony for scouts moving up to a troop
“I’m bored!”
The correct response is: check your Cub Scout book for a fun activity. Not only will your scout learn a new skill, they’ll earn a belt loop or a badge for doing it. We highly recommend it.
